On March 3, 2023, CMS issued a memorandum through the Health Plan Management System (HPMS) entitled “Updated Notice of Denial of Medical Coverage (or Payment) Form CMS 10003,” which announced the updated OMB-approved Notice of Denial of Medical Coverage (or Payment), otherwise known as the Integrated Denial Notice (IDN). The notice stated CMS would release an updated demonstration-specific version of the IDN for Medicare-Medicaid Plans (MMPs) via a separate HPMS memorandum.
